Snape Grass

All right, here is one of the best ways to make money. Sorry non members, it's members only!

Requirements: Fremennik Trials, and have at least started the Fremmenik Isles quest

Recommended: Boots of Lightness(nontradeable), a good agility level, and not a high character weight(take off armor and heavy things)

Danger Scale: 1

We are going to be going to Waterbirth Island, for which you need to have completed the Fremennik Trials to get in, or else you will have to pay 1,000gp. Head over to Rellekka in the Fremennik Province and then over to the Clothing Shop. Now head slightly North-West to the dock(shown on left map) , and talk to Jarvald, telling him that you want to go to Waterbirth Island. Ok, so you are there. Now what? Using the map on the right, go to the red dot. This is the potential snape grass gathering spot. Once you have a full inventory, leave by talking to Jarvald again. Now you are at the dock. Using the map, go to the dock it points to and talk to Mord Gunnar to go to Jatiszo. There , following the map, you can bank your snape grass and repeat this whole process! Once you have enough that you want to sell the snape grass, go to the grand exchange. It is around 360gp each, usually more! That means 1,000 snape grass has earned you 360k or more! With boots of lightness and a low character weight. you can run and do this method for a long time. Good luck becoming rich!

Runite Ore- Members - Under Construction

The Member Way

Requirements: 85+ Mining, Pickaxe, Completion of Heroe's Quest

Recommended: Falador Teleport Runes, Light character weight, Boots of Lightness

Runite Ore- Nonmembers

This is the best way to make money in Runescape.

The Non Member Way

Requirements: 85+ Mining, Pickaxe

Extremely Recommended: Rune Pickaxe, 43+ Prayer, 60+ Defense, High percentage of run energy left

Danger Scale: 9

Revanant Warning

Revanants roam the wilderness, and are extremely dangerous. They use all 3 types of combat. Here are some of the cheap things they can do: They can teleblock you, freeze you in place, go through doors and spider webs, and heal when low health! You can see how deadly they are. Beware!

Being the best way to make money has its dangers! Fortunately PKers are not a problem anymore, unless you choose to mine in a PvP world. You can choose to wear either of these 2 outfits:

Outfit 1

  • Rune Full Helmet
  • Rune Plate Body
  • Rune Plate Legs
  • Rune Kiteshield
  • Power Amulet or Holy Symbol
  • Leather Boots/Fighting boots/Fancy boots
  • Any Cape
  • Dragon Hide Vambraces
  • Pickaxe wielded

Outfit 2

  • Rune Full Helmet
  • Dragon Hide Body
  • Dragon Hide chaps
  • Rune Kiteshield
  • Power Amulet
  • Leather boots/Fighting Boots/Fancy boots
  • Any cape
  • Dragon Hide Vambraces
  • Pickaxe wielded

Inventory

  • 13-17 Lobsters
  • 3 Swordfish (emergency use only-for revanants)

Using the very large map, you can see where you are supposed to go. The chapel is probably the best escape route to use. You bank in Bounty Hunter. Once you have enough Runite that you want to sell it, go to the Grand Exchange. Let's say that you have 100 Runite ores. That will sell for around 1.5m! You can see how this is the best way to make money. Good luck mining, and remember that the Wilderness is extremely dangerous!

Pure/Rune Essence

Requirements: Membership, 30+ Mining(both only for Pure Essence) , and having done the Rune Mysteries quest

Recommended: 41+ Mining, Boots of Lightness(members) and low character weight.

Danger Scale: 0

Using the map, talk to Aubury in the Runes shop to teleport you to the mining place. Just head to one of the four corners and hack away until your inventory is full and then use the portal out. Bank and repeat the process. Now, if you mined pure essence, which is around 120-135gp each, and you mined 1,000, you would have made 120-135k! If you mined Rune Essence, which is around 40gp each, you would have made 40k. Both are not the best way of making money, but a steady and good way for people who are lower leveled(especially non members).

Coal Mining

Requirements: 60+ Mining

Recommended: Boots of Lightness(members)  and low character weight

Danger Scale: 0

For this method, you will be mining in the Mining Guild, in Falador! Coal mining should be for experienced miners, otherwise it won't make money fast enough, therefore your mining should be 60+ so you can enter the Mining Guild. Using the map on the left, go down the ladder at the Mining Guild and there will be 38 coal rocks to mine. The map on the right shows what I think to be the best place to mine coal in the guild, those 6 rocks. Once you have a full inventory, go to the bank and repeat. Coal is around 170gp each, so if you got 1,000 coal, you would get 170k! Besides being a good way to make money for non members, it gives good experience. 50 xp each. 1,000 coal gives 50,000 Mining xp! To mine, use World 5 or a German world. Much less competition!

Hill Giants

Requirements: Brass Key

Recommended: Melee: 30+ combat level | Range: 35+ Ranged | Mage: 30+ Magic

Drops: Big Bone(always) , Limpwurt Root, 2 Chaos Runes, 6 Nature Runes, 2 Cosmic Runes, 2 Law Runes, Part of Crystal Key(members)

Danger Scale: 3

For this method, you would probably want to use armor unless you are using magic or ranged. You should also bring food unless you are combat level 70 or higher, and by then this method isn't good for you to make money. Trout or Salmon will do. First, you will need to buy a Brass Key from the Grand Exchange. It is cheap to buy(under 1k), so no worries there. Using the map, go from the Grand Exchange to the door which leads to Edgeville Dungeon. You need the Brass Key that you bought to get in. Climb down the ladder and here are the Hill Giants. They are level 28, so not too hard to kill. There are a few safe spots for mages and rangers, but not many. Once your inventory is full of bones and other loot, head back out and go to the bank. A typical trip gives from 9k-12k. This is a very good way to make money for lower leveled players and especially for pure accounts!

Blue Dragons- Under Construction

Requirements: Dusty Key or 70 Agility, and Membership

Highly Recommended: Anti-dragon Shield or Dragonfire Shield(requires 75 Defense), 1 Antipoison, and a good combat level(or Ranged/Magic if you decide to use them)

Danger Scale: 6

You are going down into Taverley Dungeon, and slaying Blue Dragons, so it is best to come prepared. Anti-dragon Shield or Dragonfire Shield is extremely necessary. No 2h weapons!(bows, 2h swords, etc.) Some poisonous scorpions are along the way, but if you have a relatively high combat level they will not attack you. If you are in the 90's then you will be fine.

Step 1: The Obstacle Pipe(if you have 70 Agility)

Step 1: The Dusty Key(if you don't have 70 Agility)

The Dusty Key is non-tradeable, but luckily it is easily obtained in the dungeon. Using the map below, you enter the dungeon where the red exclamation point is. Follow the green pathway until you are by Velrak the Explorer's cell and a Jailer is nearby. Kill him, and take his Jail Key that he drops. Open the cell and talk to Velrak, and free him in exchange for the dusty key.

Swamp Lizards

Requirements: 29 Hunter, 2 Ropes, 2 Small fishing nets, Priest in Peril, and membership.

Recommended: Boots of Lightness and other light clothing, 40+ Hunter (for 3 Ropes and 3 Small fishing nets), and a torch.

Danger Scale: 1

You will be traveling into the Haunted Woods near Canifis, and to access that area you have to have completed the quest Priest in Peril. You will be hunting swamp lizards, and that is what you need the rope and small fishing nets for. One trap is made up of one rope and one small fishing net, and there are 3 spots available. Using the map below, you can see that the path to the hunting area is simple. The only thing dangerous about it is that at one point along the path a ghast will try to attack you. The ghasts will never attack in the hunting area itself, so don't worry. Swamp lizards vary in price from 1,000gp to 1,500gp each. And they are easy to catch, making this a very good way to earn money and hunter xp! Click "Set trap" on the young tree, and if you brought a torch, use it on the trap. It will increase the chances of successfully catching a swamp lizard. Good luck hunting!

Ankous

Requirements: Good armor, a relatively good combat level, a good weapon, completion of the first 3 levels of the Stronghold of Security, good food, and membership.

Recommended: Use of Barrows armor, or at least rune and above. Dragon weapons and above are a must. Using a Ring of Wealth would be very helpful, and so would a teleport tab or runes(Varrock would make the most sense).

Danger Scale: 4

You are going down to the fourth level in the Stronghold of Security, the level of death. Having completed the first 3 levels is necessary to allow you to easily get to the ankous. Use the portals from the other levels to get to the fourth one. Bring lobsters, swordfish, or monkfish to heal you, unless you are using Guthan's set. The ankous you will be fighting are level 75. One ankou trip usually brings in about 200 - 300k in cash. It's a good way to train combat and earn cash at the same time. Some common drops are blood runes, law runes, adamant arrows, gold charms, battlestaves, various herbs(low level), and various seeds(low level). Using the map to the left, the red line marks the path to ankous.

Boots of Lightness

In some of these guides, you have seen the recommendation for Boots of Lightness, and you may have wondered, "What are they for?" They lower your total body weight by 4kg, so they are valuable to your running energy.

Requirements: Membership, Temple of Ikov quest

Tradeable: No

Here is the quest guide to Temple of Ikov. You only need to get a little bit into the quest to get the boots, and you can have more than one in case you die sometime while using them. In case you do not know where the temple is, here is a map of where you should go down to get the boots:

Please note that you need a light source, like a lantern or candle, to see in the room where you get the boots. You also need some kind of slashing weapon because there is a spider web in the way of the boot drop.
